The South Downs Way stretches for 100 miles from historic Winchester in Hampshire to the white cliffs of Eastbourne. Experience dramatic scenery and visit picturesque villages as you traverse the tops of the South Downs hills. Only an hour from London, this National Trail offers the perfect holiday escape.

This long distance path has a huge variety of scenery, from spectacular panoramic ridge top views to shady woodland walks, meandering rivers and picture postcard villages, complete with thatched cottages and traditional pubs. History is a constant companion in the South Downs with iron age forts, Roman villas, majestic castles and stately homes.

Prices are per person for holidays booked before 31 March, based on two people sharing a double or twin room and include all taxes. All holidays are subject to availability. We offer large discounts for groups of three or more, please ask for prices.

If you do not require accommodation in Winchester at the start or an overnight stay in Eastbourne at the end you can save up to £40 per person per night, please ask for more information.

Our holidays include a South Downs Way guide book and Harvey map. If you do not need them we will reduce the total cost of your holiday booking by £20.

If you are travelling on your own there is a single supplement of £25 per night for our Classic holiday and £35 per night for our Superior holiday.

Please bear in mind that accommodation is limited along the trail and it is therefore advisable to book early to secure the best hotel reservations.

^ If on your holiday you decide to miss a day of walking we will arrange transfers for you to your next overnight stop.
